Reading, reflecting and acting upon the wide and wonderful research into online teaching and learning.

A New Year’s resolution that keeps on giving.  Not only have we been catching up and expanding our reading, we have also spreading the word – on demand – with our colleagues.  It seemed a good idea to share more widely and proactively.  Below is what we’ve delved into this week.  The plan is to edit and reshare this list as we expand our reading.

Research in Learning Technology (RLT) is a peer reviewed, open access journal published by the Association for Learning Technology.

Hybrid Pedagogy, an open-access journal of learning, teaching, and technology

The open access Journal for Educational Research Online (JERO) is an international and interdisciplinary forum for research on education. JERO publishes original, peer-reviewed academic articles that deal with issues of international relevance in educational theory, methodology, and practice.

Educational Technology Research and Development is the only scholarly journal in the field focusing entirely on research and development in educational technology.

Research and Practice in Technology Enhanced Learning publishes research on all aspects of the use of technology to enhance learning. The journal presents theoretical research, reports of evidence-based research and praxis work on the interface between theory and practice, and ways each can support the other.

Theory and Research in Education, formerly known as The School Field, is an international peer reviewed journal that publishes theoretical, empirical and conjectural papers contributing to the development of educational theory, policy and practice.

Current Issues in Emerging eLearning (CIEE) is an open access, peer-reviewed, online journal of research and critical thought on eLearning practice and emerging pedagogical methods.

Education Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access journal published quarterly online.

Of particular interest is the recent Special Issue on Mobile Learning
